When passion for wine and professional rigor meet, the result can only be memorable. The end-of-year teambuilding included a visit to Gitana Winery, where we reconfirmed that excellence is not a coincidence, but a philosophy lived every day, both by the hosts and by us, the Vargan & Vargan SCA team.
Gitana Winery is more than a client for us: it is an example of vision, sound construction and international ambition. Our collaboration is based on trust, professionalism and a common mission, that of carrying forward high standards in everything we do.
Gitana Winery: tradition, modernity and investments made with soul
We had the privilege of seeing up close the latest investments made under the coordination of Mr. Petre Dulgher, a remarkable leader, characterized by strategic vision, technical exigencies, attention to detail, deep respect for tradition and terroir. He is the man for whom perfection is not a goal, but a continuous journey; each modernization of the winery, each development stage and each investment decision reflects the same principle: quality is not negotiable.
Moreover, as proof of the friendship we have for each other, during the visit we had the honor of tasting a rare bottle from the family’s own collection from an extremely limited series: there are only 12 bottles left from that batch. This wine is not only rare, but also has symbolic value: it was awarded a gold medal in 1985 at the World Wine Competition Budapest.

We were impressed by the wines that have established the winery and that continue to conquer wine lovers from all over the world: Lupi – elegant, complex, with impeccable structure, Saperavi – intense, vibrant, a statement of strength and character, La Petite Sophie – fine balance, refinement and freshness; each wine bears the imprint of the terroir of the southern Moldovan valley and the oenological mastery of the Gitana team.
